This page explains what happens to your information when you visit zahidsohail.com. This website is the professional profile of Zahid Sohail, psychologist and family and relationship counselor. It is an information page only — it does not host counseling sessions, accounts, or payments.
The short version
This site does not ask you for any personal information. There is no contact form, no comments, no login for visitors, no newsletter and no advertising. It does use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read — described below. If you want to speak with me, you leave this site and contact The Bonding Corner, which handles all appointments.
What this website collects
Nothing you type. There is no form on this site, so there is no way for you to submit personal information here.
Standard server logs. Like every website, the hosting provider records routine technical information when a page is requested — IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the date and time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, and to investigate abuse or attacks. They are kept for a limited period by the host and are not used to build a profile of you.
Security logs. The site uses a security plugin that records failed login attempts and blocked requests, including the IP address involved. This protects the admin area from automated attacks.
Cookies
This site shows no ads and sets no advertising cookies. Google Analytics sets its own cookies so that repeat visits can be told apart from new ones — see the Analytics section below. Cookies are also set for the site administrator when signed in to the WordPress dashboard, and a small preference cookie may be used to remember a light or dark display setting on your own device. Your browser can block or clear any of these at any time, and blocking them does not stop you reading the site.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how many people visit, which pages they read, which language version they choose, and how often someone goes on to the booking page. It records things like the page address, an approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type, and the site you arrived from. Google shortens IP addresses before storing them. Analytics does not tell me who you are, and I do not combine it with anything else to identify you.
This site shares one Analytics property with The Bonding Corner, so that a visit which moves from this profile to the booking page is counted as one journey rather than two unrelated visits. If you would rather not be counted, you can block cookies for this site in your browser, or install Google’s opt-out add-on, which applies across every site you visit.
Third parties
Apart from Google Analytics, described above, no third-party trackers, advertising networks, social pixels or embedded videos run on this site. Some links take you to other websites: The Bonding Corner (where appointments, session formats and payments are handled), WhatsApp (if you choose to message the support team), and professional listings such as SehatYab, Marham and LinkedIn. Once you follow one of those links you are on a different service with its own privacy policy and its own data practices. This policy does not cover them.
Search engines
This site is registered with Google Search Console so that its pages can be indexed and monitored for search errors. Search Console reports aggregate search data — for example how many people clicked a result — and does not identify individual visitors to me.
Counseling confidentiality is separate
Anything you share in a counseling session is governed by professional confidentiality, not by this website policy. Session records, appointment details and anything you tell me in a session are handled through The Bonding Corner and are kept private within professional, ethical and legal limits. If you want to know exactly how session communication, records and confidentiality are handled before you share something sensitive, please ask before your first session — you are entitled to a clear answer.
If you email or message the support team, treat that message as ordinary email or chat, not as a confidential clinical record. Please keep sensitive detail for the session itself.
Children
This website is written for adults. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them. Counseling involving a minor is arranged with a parent or guardian.
Your rights
Because this site collects no personal information from visitors beyond the pseudonymous analytics described above, there is usually nothing here to access, correct or delete. If you believe information about you is held in connection with this website or with a counseling enquiry, you can ask what is held, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where there is no professional or legal obligation to keep it. Write to support@bondingcorner.com and your request will be answered.
Not an emergency service
This website and online counseling are not emergency services. If you or someone else is at immediate risk of harm, contact your local emergency service or the nearest hospital right away.
